PART 1: HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU

When you start thinking about whether you would like to study a Higher Education qualification, whether that’s at a university or a college that offers HE courses, it can feel very daunting due to the huge range of courses available. In the short video below Mark talks you through our top tips for how to choose the right course for you!

You may hear people refer to different universities as ‘city-based’ or ‘campus-based’ universities.

• City-based universities have university buildings, accommodation and students spread across the city. An example of a local city-based university is the University of Bristol.
• Campus-based universities have all their buildings, facilities and student accommodation on the same site. They might have one large campus or several smaller campuses. These universities usually have a shop and bar on campus and sometimes even have hairdressers/barbers and a bank too! An example of a local campus-based university is the University of the West of England (UWE).
