Job Title: Programme Coordinator
Location: Somerset, with some travel in and around Bristol and the wider region (remote work when not on activities)
Salary: £30-32k per annum (final salary to be confirmed at interview)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term to end July 2027
About Us: SBY is a dedicated charity committed to delivering impactful educational programmes to support young people across Bristol and beyond. Our mission is to provide essential opportunities and support to youth from the most disadvantaged areas. We collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including schools, parents, and various external organizations to create a positive, lasting impact.
The Role: We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Programme Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery and coordination of SBY’s educational programmes. Your work will involve directly engaging with young people, liaising with schools, and partnering with community organizations to ensure our programmes run smoothly and effectively.
The role is working predominantly with primary-aged children but will require flexibility to work with secondary-aged young people where required. For more information about the Learning to Lead programme please refer to Learning to Lead : South Bristol Youth | Empowering young people to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentorship & Support: Provide dedicated mentoring and support to Key Stage 3 students.
Programme Delivery: Work closely with schools and external agencies to deliver educational programmes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with school staff, parents, and community partners.
Event Management: Organize and manage events to boost parental and community engagement.
Programme Evaluation: Gather feedback, conduct evaluations, and contribute to comprehensive reports.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 education (degree or equivalent experience preferred).
Experience: 2-3 years working with young people, ideally in KS2/3. School setting experience is a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Proficiency in ICT and social media platforms. Strong problem-solving abilities and event management skills.
Attitudes: Passionate about youth work, adaptable, professional, and empathetic. Eager for professional development.
