Supporting our students

The Insight into Apprenticeships South project works with seven south Bristol schools, with cohorts of 15 students from years 9 or 10; we are now working with our fifth cohort of students in this area.

We are extremely lucky to work with some great business partners who support our students. The students enjoy a range of visits to businesses, meeting current apprentices and finding how to gain quality work experience. The students also hear from our partners about the competencies and skills that employers are looking for, as well as the career pathways into the various sectors. Our partners include Boston Tea PartyBristol WaterBristol PortKPMG and Coutts Bank.

"It’s given me opportunities to do things I never thought I would do, for example teambuilding in the Mendips, but also applying for an apprenticeship and talking to people in workplaces. I have more confidence now."
